Default 110 brake pads fall out.

I've had two loncin 110 quads for 5 or 6 years. From the beginning the rear brake pads have fallen out while riding. I finally replaced both calipers with new ones. The first time we rode them both pads on each atv fell out in the first 5 minutes.

Do I have them tightened down too far toward the disc. Should there be a spaces to hold the caliper assembly further away form the mounting bracket or does anyone know of something else that could cause this. Thanks

I've messed around with the brake pads/calipers on a 110cc. What I've learned is that they are really tough to get working properly. There is clip and it can go in several ways, but there is only one way that is right. (I think that is what you're talking about?)

I would check the nuts that hold the rear shaft into the carrier. If they are not tight the axle can shift from side to side and cause too much space between the disc and the pad letting it fall out.

OK, I will check the nuts. The clips remain as they were installed at the factory.
thanks for responses.

I finally got around to looking at my calipers and looked at my old ones and noticed they have a spacer tacked on to the mounting bracket so I dug around in my nuts and bolts mess and found spacers to match the old bracket and installed it. I drove one for about a mile using the brakes often and so far so good. I installed the second one but don't have any gas to try it so it'll have to wait a while.
