Not sure what your changing the oil on. Different quads have different tricks. Just don't use car oil. You will need ATV oil, thats much more important than weight. Change oil often. It's the life of any quad.

It depends on what type of transmission you have. If it is a wet clutch system, you would want to use oil with no friction modifiers. A cheap and good alternative is Shell Rotella oil. You can get that at walmart. If it's a cvt transmission, you can use the 10w/40, if that is the weight that is recommended.

hi I just did a oil change on my gio for my first time. I drained it filled it up and it all looked good. Now when i started it all the oil in the peep hole goes away and it looks like there's no oil but when I kill the engine it comes back and fills right up.
Is this normal or did i just not put enough oil in?
the dipstick does say its full

I'm guessing that's normal as its being used around the system so there is less oil in the sump
