Totally confusded
I inquired about a five pin cdi on a Tao tao and was given the answer for a five pin. Unfortunatly it was a 4 pin I needed the answer for which I did recieve. The five pin cdi has a block with five pins and a block with two pins. The four pin cdi has a block with four pins and a block with two pins. Are these known as four and five pin cdi's or am I looking at something different? I know this might not sound confusing to ones in the know but I'm not one of those who are in the know. D*#@ Ihate wireing connumdrums.

Now I'm confused too .
A four pin CDI has four pins, period. Not a four pin block and a two pin block. A five pin CDI has five pins, period. Not a five pin block and a two pin block.
A *six* pin CDI has two connectors - a 4 pin block, and a 2 pin block. Hmmm.
Let me post some pictures of common CDI's again. Warning: I've had trouble posting the 5 pin CDI from photobucket. I haven't figured out why yet. I'm going to try again, if it doesn't work out I'll look into it and post again later.
Do any of these CDI's look like yours?
