help identifying a part..

Hi can anyone help me by telling me if this is a brake switch as the wires connect from it to the foot brakes....
An gooes in to the axle.... Its from a zhenhua 250 cc quad

more pics but don't zoom in so close. is that going into the rear axle? is that tubing or a wiring harness? brake switch is at the master cylinder/brake piston.
