Hello Ya'll
I am hoping one of you fine folks can shine some light on this issue for me. I am working on my neighbors Chinese Wildfire 150cc atv that he bought for his kids.
It was in bad shape when I started. I have replaced the carb, spark plug, coil , ignition switch, and the starter/kill switch on the handlebar. I can get it running after a few attempts. It will run for a bit then quit. If it give it any gas it dies. After it warms up it runs a little better but it will bog down when I give it any throttle. I dont believe it is a vacume leak but at this point I am looking for any ideas.

Did you adjust the carb after installing it?

If no there is a sticky 'how to adjust carb' thread at the top of the general chinese forum.

 

double check compression. may need a valve adjustment. DEFINITELY clean the carb/jets. bogging down is a sign of dirty jets/starving for fuel. change the fuel filter also.

I did adjust the valves and that made a world of difference. The carb is new bit I will take it apart and clean it out as well as replace the fuel filter.
