I'm interested in buying my son either a Taotao 125D or 135D. Can anyone provide a review on the machine? I've read some about CVT transmissions and it sounds like putting larger tires on a machine with a CVT is a no-no unless you change the springs in the CVT. The 135D model comes with larger tires than the 125D. I somewhat doubt the manufacturer has changed to springs to match the different model. Is this a concern? The videos I've seen of the 135D seem to show it goes okay.

I talked to a seller of the new Taotao 125. I was thinking the Taotao had a CVT and unsure if a Chinese CVT was reliable. He said that the 125 machine actually has a 1 speed manual tranny. It's like putting a 3 speed ATV in second gear and leaving it there. He said that on his kids quad he put a different sprocket in front to give it more starting power but a little less top end.
