I've been working on my sons Alpha Sports LG50 for months. I've cleaned the carb several times and adjusted the float numerous times. I could never get it to run right. Finally i replaced the carb and it runs great. No matter how you adjust the standard carb or clean it, it will never run right. I checked reed valves, exhaust, coil, CDI, and stator. I've manually choked it, but it never ran right. Save yourself time and replace the carb.

Dsawyer44, what carb did you get and where did you get it? I'm looking for a new carb for an all stock AlphaSport Kolt 50...not sure what model year it is. It currently has a Mikuni carb on it. I was looking at this carb on eBay-- Carburetor Polaris Predator 50 ATV Carb Fits 2004 2006 | eBay or this one-- Carburetor Aeon Revo Minikolt Kolt Cobra 50 50cc 2009 2010 Carb New E | eBay. They both look really similar to what's on the bike now. I'd like to stay with an auto choke carb for now. Please let me know if you can provide any info. Thanks.

I bought the first one you mentioned. It was $23.00 on ebay. I received it in two days. Everything fit perfect and the choke wire plugged right in. I had to adjust the throttle cable a little bit.

The auto choke is what goes wrong.
I'd get a regular button choked carb.
