Redcat 50 rubs/breaks the carb
#1
Searching the WWW and this site I find references to my problem, but nothing detailed. Especially a fix.
I bought a used Redcat 50cc ATV from my nephew for my G-son, so the age/year is unknown. Been fixing/replacing parts and found the carb had been rubbing on the frame. I had a new carb on hand as part of the refresh so I put it on and it appeared to have clearance. But nope. Hit the frame hard enough to break the new carb. Good thing they're only 20 bucks a pop.
So what is the fix for the Redcat carb hitting the frame?

Well I got the little booger tore down again. Man is that carb is the most convenient location. Anyway, mounts seem to be tight, etc...Can't get the engine to move side to side. Moves up and down as suspension works, but it is unsprung so I guess that movement is normal. Can definitely see where the carb hit the frame, just can't find anything I can change or adjust or relocate to keep it from happening again.
