Not sure if I got that description right, but I am talking about the level that you adjust for cold starts. It was working, but now whether its up or down there is no difference. So the choke I believe its called is not working causing the atv to die out. Now I took it apart before and got it back to working, however it came off the pin it connects to. My question is does this mean I have a broken part or am I just not tightening something right?

depends on the style of carb you have. i'm not sure what you have in your possession. post some pics? that'd help.
