Default No spark!

Appears that there is no spark on the new plug. Guess I should have checked earlier. I've charged the battery and seem to be getting power to the starter and I smell gas. What parts of the ignition should I start with? Guess the oil in the gas was more coincidence than cause.

I'm going to wrap this up. New ignition coil and new fuses in and starts right up. Expect I just needed a fuse which reminds one to start with the simplest before moving to the more complex. Other lessons for this novice: Wiring diagram that came with vehicle is wrong. Shop manual directions even more wrong- don't test the spark plug cap and don't bother testing the secondary coil on the ignition coil. I spent too much time on this but at least learned some good lessons and didn't throw too much money after a fix. Thanks to everyone who helped along the way.
