Um what does the seller have for paperwork. he should have some sort of paperwork with info and vin on it

And it never occurred to you sooner just to ask the seller? nice…

I agree about walking away if you can't track down origin especially if you plan on hitting any public trails with it. I suppose if it never left your property, you could be fine but i'm not sure how you would get insurance if you don't have a vin. I also agree about selling the plow if you end up buying this. Quads are put under a great amount of stress when plowing and even the best of them can have problems.

i was thinking more along the line of no ID = Stolen

Me too but it could also be home made since the OP said it's a mesh of parts and the seller just never got around to applying for a title and VIN stamp. If he's got enough savvy to come up with a custom plow, he may just be ballsy enough to be able to build something like this. Either way, no paperwork means you're not getting my money.
