Hey guys, I'm new to all this atv stuff and not very mech. Inclined. When I push the start button nothing happens. Battery is charged and I also had charger connected to keep amps Up. No clicks nothing. If I cross both sides of starter solenoid it will crank over easy but won't pop off. Removed spark plug shot a little starting fluid replaced spark plug. Had to cross solenoid again and popped off and ran for 2 seconds then died. Have fuel and fuel comes through fuel filter up to the fuel pump. So couple things here. First do you think I need a new solenoid, a starter or is there some electrical short somewhere. Second, fuel? Do I need a fuel pump also. Or is fuel pump associated with possible electrical issue along with solenoid. Ran last summer then all the sudden stopped. Unit hasn't run in 1 year. Look forward to hearing your advice

 

Check safety switches. Tether, brakes, on/off switch.

 

Only safety switch I see is the on/off on handlebars, no rear tether, not sure what/where to look for anymore

 

One of the brakes probably has to be depressed before it will crank. This is a safety switch.

 

Yeah I have done that. Pull the brake or push on foot either one but still doesn't work unless I cross over terminals on solenoid

 

Still looking for some help if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it thanks
