I'm having a problem with the quad getting to much gas. I say this because I can start it and it will idle but I give it gas and it bogs out. If I turn the fuel off it eventually runs strong before it runs out of gas. Please help me I'm lost. Thank you

Sounds like a rich fuel/air condition? This can be confirmed by removing the spark plug noting its color. Black spark plug would indicate a rich condition versus a white plug which would describe a lean condition, a light tan color is optimum.

If it is running rich it could mean the air filter is restricted or perhaps dirty, could mean the fuel/air screw is out of adjustment, or even the needle valve (the needle valve can be unscrewed from the top of carb under a large spring). There are other threads on this forum which describe raising or lowering the needle (in your case I believe you would raise the clip/lower the needle).

You could try making 1/8 turns on your fuel/air screw, you are looking for the rpm's to be maxed, when the rpm's drop - turn the other direction in small adjustments, again looking for the highest rpm's. Adjust the idle screw accordingly... Just trying to give you some ideas, others will chime in and perhaps give more clear instruction. Good luck and keep us posted so others can learn if they have the same condition.

Do you have any pictures of location off the fuel air screw or the needle valve. I cannot locate them on the carburetor. I do know which one is the idle screw and also I believe this carb has a electric choke because I have failed to locate a manual one anywhere. Thank you for your help

I also found that the hose off the gas cap was torn in half. The end of it has a metal piece to connect another hose to it but I have not a clue were it connects to or goes. Is this just a vent hose or is it also vacuum.

Yes, the hose on the end of the gas tank is just to vent so its actually not connected to anything.

The idle screw is normally the screw on the side of the carb with a spring around it, then the fuel/air screw would be a screw beside the idle screw towards the engine (opposite of carb).

On my Chinese 110 ATV from the factory you only saw one screw one the side which was the idle screw, the fuel/air screw was covered by a brass/metal plug. Some folks had luck prying the plug out with a small screwdriver, I lightly drilled into mine then popped out with a screwdriver. Under the plug you will most likely find a flat head screw which would be the fuel/air screw. Mine also had these threaded plugs holding the float bowl onto the bottom of the carb. I used a screw extractor kit to remove the threaded plugs then replaced them with M4 x .7 screws 16mm long I think? Just take your threaded plug to the hardware/big box store to match up the threads.

The needle valve assembly is on the very top of the carb, you turn this **** by hand, its about 3/4" in diameter, just be VERY careful as you lift the slide from the top after unscrewing as it is spring loaded. As you pull the slide out you may wish to note or take pics of which direction the slide is positioned, it will go back in only in two ways and of course one of which is wrong. Mine had a long thin grove on the rear foot brake side of the carb as I pulled it out and that is how I remembered which way it was to go back in.

Be careful about the direction the slide goes back in, if you flipped it 180 degrees it will still slide back in but the throttle will be in full throttle position when you start it so be ready to kill the engine just to be safe.

It is not necessary to remove the carb from the quad to unscrew the needle valve assembly. Maybe google a needle valve assembly before unscrewing it so you know what to look for when it comes out. Parts are spring loaded but nothing should fly anywhere when removed.
