Leaking Gasoline between the upper and lower bowel on the CARB - COOLSTER 125

Default Leaking Gasoline between the upper and lower bowel on the CARB - COOLSTER 125

Hello, just got a brand new coolster 125 and there is gasoline leaking out between the upper and lower bowel on the carb. see arrow on pic. There is to screw to tighten it down, any suggestions?

The gasket is bad.. You need a new carburetor.

Now, no need for a new carb quite yet.. Just take it apart, clean it, cut the gaskets if you need to get them to fit and then just apply silicone over the gasket and put the crb back tohether. You night also want to use some hot glue gun glue o, the gaps and mixture screw as well as the screw used to enpty the carb bowl. That one likes to leak..

That carb doesnt seem to have screws holding the bowl on?

maybe riveted together?

Looking at the pic it looks like the mating surface is warped. So you have 2 options. Take some fine sandpaper and a flat surface and touch both up until they are flat. Or get some automotive silicon and apply a small amount to each surface and put back together. then let sit 24 hours before putting fuel to it to fully cure. Remember a small amount you do not want to get any inside the bowl. I usually just put some on my finger and put a paper thing bead all the way around
