Default 125cc TaoTao Bogging

Hey there,
Recently got a 125cc Utility style TaoTao ATV. As most of you know the air filter location sucks on these things directly attached to the carb by the engine.

So I decided to snorkel I used 1-1/2 inch ABS pipe. I have 90degree turn and 2 60degree turns. It's idles great and runs low throttle great the only problem I'm having is whenever I try to go full throttle it starts to bog down so bad I have to let off to keep it from stalling.

I'm feels like it's getting flooded with gas however I heard snorkels increase air flow? So could it been running so lean it seems like a rich issue?

Just what to know what you guys think about it and what I should do?

Needs some back pressure. What's on the end of your snorkel?

At the end where it rises up above the plastics. I have a 60degree elbow with air filter attached.

Usually when you mess with the air filter, you need to rejet the carb. Maybe try a larger main jet.

I was thinking main jet however these china carburetors aren't broken down into that many parts like Japanese ones. Would a bigger carb do the trick ?

Don't know about the new carb, but you can drill out a main jet, but without spares you'll be stuck with it. Either way, it does sound like your leaning out.

Perfect, so my plan is to try the duct tape test first, I'll cover half the snorkel intake with it to make sure it's in fact lean .

If that makes it better I'll proceed to drill out the jets. Also order a new replacement carb just incase!

Thanks a lot for your help man! Appreciate it!
