Kazuma Falcon 90 Crankshaft or motor?
My son was riding is atv when "something broke and it stopped." I tried to start it and it sounded like nuts in a blender. Pulled off the cover and found that the starter chain looked fine and was spinning but not catching. Now what? I know nothing about Chinese atv motors other than what I've found here and on YouTube. Looks like new motors are $300 bucks and crankshafts are around $150. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Pull the plug and if your plug end is broken off, your looking at a top end rebuild. Drain the engine oil and if you see pieces drop out, your in for a total engine rebuild. Drain the gear oil and if pieces fall out, your in for a gearbox rebuild. It's finding the source of the broken pieces. Lots of things can break on these. Valves too if it's a 4 stroke.
The more you try and turn the motor, the more damage will be done.
