Have you traced the wire & checked its integrity coming out of the keyed switch? I just re-read your post

It is sounding more & more like a short or a spade not making good contact

I disconnected the wire to the cdi unit that the kill and safety switches go to. That eliminated the kill switch as the problem I assume. Has to be something non kill switch related

I just checked something on the multi meter.....black from multimeter to ground. red to the blk/yellow wire on the coil. I set my meter to 20m on the DCA. I get like 6.78 Not sure what that means or if I even had the meter set right. Im lost when using this meter. haha

When cranking, is the wires feeding your coil pack receiving any power? 1 or 2 wires coming to it.

So if your kill switches are good, then we're down to the stator output of impulse to cdi to ignition coil to spark plug. That is the circuit pathway to check for continuity and/or power. If not a wiring issue, then a component issue. I'm betting on a crimped wire or a spade pushed back inside a quick connect

Meter black lead to ground. Red lead to plug wire with cap removed ??? While cap is off check it for resistance. Might also cut 1/2" off plug wire then screw cap back on and check

might not be a bad idea to look at all the soldered splices inside the loom usually just about even with fuel tank they dont waste any tape on these
