Taotao electrical problems
#1
I have a Tao tao 110 that wouldn't charge the battery. So I replaced the stator and regulator and now it will only charge at 13.1 volts at full throttle. (Maybe I got a bad regulator off of eBay). Also if I turn the head light switch on it will automatically drain the battery to 8 volts or lower (While the atv is running). The headlights are pulling so much it actually melted the housing. The next problem I'm having is the atv will just click and not turn over with a fully powered battery. I have checked the solenoid and it's working and putting 12 volts to the starter. But the starter only works when it wants to (I have checked all the grounds and connections and can't find any loose. Please help me I work on this atv more then my daughter gets to ride it.

My same recommendation goes to any electric problem.. Pull the harness and lay it out. Remove all the wrap and inspect every inch.. Personally i recommend to redo every solder connection in the harness. The cold solder they use does not make a very good connection.
After doing this i have never had a electrical issue again.

Ok I re soldered everything but I made a stupid mistake. I thought the wiring harness was plug and play(color coded) but I was very wrong. I was wondering if you had a wiring diagram to the Tao tao 110
