Hi everyone, I am new here. Seems like google always directs me here when I have an atv connection, so finally made an account.

I just purchased a small Chinese quad. Not too sure of the size, maybe 80cc.

i was told it needed a simple carb rebuild.
I cleaned out the carb, check compression and checked spark and had no spark.

I am not sure if the CDI is bad or something else.

I disconnected the blk/wht wire from CDI, made no difference.

Wher can I go from here? just order a new CDI and coil?

The ignition harness also has a few wires disconnected.

The actual key ignition switch has 4 wires.
BLK
BLK/WHT

 

Figured it out.
posting in case anyone else comes across this.

there was a safety button or switch near the rear grab bar that was cutting spark off.
hot wired it and fired right up.

 

I have a nst 250 will not start the cdi is bad put a new on turned on key hit starter and cdiwent into melt down need the wiring harness connector it is a 2007 NST 250
