Default Question about Carburetors

First off I'm a beginner so any input will be helpful. I own a Baja wilderness trail 250 and I'm trying to get it running but the carburetor is all messed up on the inside. Normally you would buy a rebuild kit but this ATV is old and discontinued so the parts are physically impossible to ask and even the exact carburetor.

So my question is, could i interchange the carburetor on my ATV for a new different one and if so what points would the new carburetor have to have for it to work and fit well? I don't have pictures but as far as i know the carburetor is of course for a 250cc 4 stroke engine and it has an electric choke, i don't have the measurements for the intake but ik the have too match, is there anything else? Also the parts where it connects to the engine is bolted weirdly so i would have to get a small manifold for it, is that okay?

Sorry for so many questions, I'm only 17 and i don't have much help but i really want to get the ATV running since i don't have enough money to buy a new one.

Does not your carb stick in a rubber thing that attaches to the motor? If so, take the carb out and measure the openings front and rear. Ebay/amazon have them for cheap. If they have a manual choke, it's better for you.

No matter how old or discontinued your machine is, there is probably carb kit out there unless your machine is a Chinese built unit. Trying to retrofit is a crapshoot, while you might get it to run, will it run well enough to ride?
