Can’t keep Gio 110 running
#1
Okay - my son has a Gio 110 quad that was running fine, but blew out the clutch mid summer. I finally got around to replacing the clutch as it took forever to find the right one.
After putting everything g back together I can’t get the quad to start without spray starter and can’t keep it idling. When I get it started I can rev it up and it seems to be running okay, but dies out when I try to come back to idle. I didn’t touch the fuel system at all when doing the clutch repair so not sure why I can’t get it to start and run without spray or keep it idling.
We live in Canada and the quad ran fine in the cold last winter too so don’t think that’s the issue. Any ideas??

Clean the carb out. A lay up allows water to settle out and, if you removed the tank, the shake up can disturb dirt, which then floats through into the carb. Remove float bowl, remove jets, blow both them and the holes they came from out with compressed air, clean float bowl, re-assemble and try it. Do not alter needles or settings.
