As for what it is not really sure, but I bet someone here knows. Checking the vin number is always a safe bet.

Usually engine numbers wont correspond to what the quad is.

It does look like there is a lot of plastic and stuff covering the front area of the frame, I would take a look under all of that. However it is Chinese so they may have forgotten to stamp it.

Found this:
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/...01_197-230.pdf

And a quick search got this:
http://www.kandiusa.com/products/110...lers-only.html

Looks like its either a 230 or 197 judging by the PDF. Think they put a 110cc engine in the one you have and put smaller plastic on it lol.

If it is really a 250 then it looks that way. Isn't there a 250 or 249cc somewhere on the jug?

Someone could have taken the governor off before you got it, so it may be the same.

it has to be a motor swap. (or not that one)

mine is liquid cooled

the atv in that link is air cooled

also its a 4spd clutch not automatic as listed on that link...

The thing your piston is in.

The one I linked is only a 110, so it makes sense that it is air cooled.

I think I have found it:
Zhejiang Kangdi Vehicles Co., Ltd.

Looks the exact same, is liquid cooled, but is only a 200cc, so maybe the guy who sold it to you was mistaken? Either that or it has a motor swap.

Sounds good.

To answer your rear shock question: it really depends on who makes the shock, because they are different. I've heard that 150 PSI is usually a good number, but I haven't ever had any problems with shocks before so I don't know 100%. It may just be a cheap crappy shock since it is a China quad.
