WHAT IS THE BEST SWINGARM AND REAR SHOCK MX RAPTOR AND WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO GET THEM

 

I did the "weld an extension on" route and that failed. After lots of research I chose the Tucker and am VERY pleased ! Jeremy is great to work with and the price is right. Very nice design, quality of work, and great customer service (real 5 year warranty)....

My stock swingarm and shock work excellent for MX. I just recommend widening out the front and back to help stabilize the Rappy in the corners(wider axle and a-arms). Other than that, the suspension on the rear is great!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

raptor jay i think you are correct after much consideration i just ordered a tucker complete with all the goodies powdered red and longer chain and braided rear lines will be here in ten days for only 689.00 to my door now for those shocks anyone got any good idea on where to get them or have a set for sale thanks

 

The rear shock on the 02s and up aren't bad units. There was a sponsor on here that did suspension work but I don't remember the name and I heard the quad shop is good to deal with for setup and rebuilding.

 

I think the stock rear shock is just fine (properly adjusted) ! I went with an Elka SSD and really like it but am not sure there is a $700 difference !? It does work good though !

More often than not guys never really get the rear shock tuned to their liking and think it's a bad shock - spend some time trying various pre-load, compression, and rebound settings before rushing out for the new shock.
