Called the ranger station, and they said the road is open up to Blackrock. I don't know if that means you can get to Monache Road (one of the only two quad legal routes) or not. Doesn't sound like Sherman Peak Road (the other quad legal route) is accessable. They had no (dirt bike) trail information whatsoever. There was a fair bit of late snow, so some trails may still be blocked in the shady canyons. But, with the return of the hot weather, that shouldn't last.

Anybody know what burned and what didn't??? The rangers aren't much help. All they know is that some areas in the trail system got burned, but nothing specific at all. I guess it will be necessary to make a trip up there to find out.
