Anyone know how to get a replacement key?

 

Did you loose both keys or just one? If you you only lost the on key with the rubber dust cover on it, you can take the other key you should have gotten with your blaster and take it to the dealer and they will cut you a new key. I had the same thing happen to me when my Blaster rolled down a hill and somehow the key came out and I was never able to find it. Also the dealer will not have the rubber dust cover for the new key, the only way to get one, atleast according to Yamaha is to order a new ignition switch assembly with a key matched to it.

 

They should be able to cut you a new one at dealer.

 

Blue Blaster:

The black rubber key cover should be available at your dealer for $7.00, if not he can special order it through Yamaha.

As for the key issue your original keys should have been engraved with a number, I believe you can order them with this number. If you still have the spare it would be much faster (cheaper also) to just have copies made.

you could just unplug the key switch. i beleive it will still run with out having to hotwire it
