What quad do u think im better with Honda 300ex or Yamaha Warrior
#6
I have owned both, and I have to say that I HATE THE WARRIOR!! It just handles clunkey. It handles heavy. There are so many better bikes out there, why even consider this outdated beast?
The 300 is a nice little machine, if you ride really tight trails. Otherwise, I would go with one of the 400's, in preference to the 300.

Have you looked at the prices on used 400 ex's. The last time I looked the could be had for less than $4000. With the 400 ex you start out with a great bike with more hp than either of your other choices.
With a side benefit of almost endless upgrades.
Personally I think the warior is a nice bike just not very fast or nimble. The 300ex is a joke! Sure it will run forever....but why would you want it to.
My advice to you: ride as many quads as your friends will let you and make your own choice. Try to get your friends to ride in popular places and go with them and be a ride mooch.(beg to ride any quad you see) Offer money or sexual favors.Hahaha J/K
2 years ago I was hellbent on getting a 400ex, then the Z came out and I became the same way over it. After riding every quad I could find I bought a Raptor. If you want to spend 6-7 grand I highly reccomend it.

Marylandraptor, why wouldnt you want it to run forever? Why would you want to buy something that will break down all the time, and have to have your friends pull you back to the truck just so you can take it home and work on it all week just so it can break down again next time you go riding? My Foreman has had practically no problems, and ill just tell ya....it hasnt bothered me one bit.

By the way they're both "outdated beasts". But the Warrior is a little older. The 300ex seems to be more centered on everything, trails, and MX. The Warrior, on the other hand, is designed (intentionally or not) for trail riding. Hence the slightly more forward engine. The 300ex would be far better for playing around but strictly for trail riding, FOR ME, the Warrior has it. I know it's a mistake to say this in the Honda forum, but try asking it in the Yamaha forum and see what answers you get. Probably mostly pro Warrior. But like the others have said, ride them and make your choice.
