My friend is getting his frame gusseted in a week the guy whose going to do it has seen the after there done but was wondering what the mane part of the frame is made of. He could probible figure it out but he said it would be easyer to now up front. Thanks alot.

High tensile (spelling???) steel. Chromoly would be a nice improvement (aluminum would be better, and titanium well...........). Go to a bicycle shop and pick up a high tensile steel bike....it will weigh a ton. Then compare it to a chromoly bikes and feel the difference!!
