Another possible reason why won't start
#1
I thought I had too small of a pilot jet (couldn't remember what I had in there) because I was having trouble starting the quad. Well dropped the bowl on the TM45 and pulled the jet and right away knew something was up. The thing felt like someone had put it in that was just cutting down their x-mas tree. Freekin' thing was all tared up. I don't let the thing sit long between rides and the carb isn't old at all so, not sure why it happened.
Anyways, if you have trouble starting your quad you may want to try checking the pilot jet before you go into the trouble of checking your valves for clearance.
Didn't turn it over because I had just applied some sealant to where the silencer connection - was having some leaking. I'll try to pick up some new springs tomorrow since these seem to not have the pull they used to have.
Anyone else have gumming? Could it have come from going from race gas to 91 octane pump gas???
