I'm trying to decide on the new look of the '04 sportsmans, but can't seem to find many at dealers to look at, even though the website has alot of info and you can order the new sportsman catalog right off the webpage. The local dealers seem to act like they haven't been given much info yet (catalogs or pricing). I got the impression from one dealer that they really won't start showing up for real for another 3 or 4 months. Anyone know more than they're leading onto? I'm not real pleased with the colors available of the '04s, or I'd be sold on one and really trying to buy one. One dealer mentioned he's been shown other color combos to order for fall shipping that are not on the website. Possibly another camo pattern and maybe also available on the 600?? I currently own a 500, but would like to give the 600 a try, just can't settle for a color/pattern. Has anyone taken off the plastic and painted it themself? Help!!

I kind of like having a red option, or also a camo pattern. I don't really like the silver or aluminum color rims that comes as standard on alot of the units. When i bought my '02 500, I negotiated with the dealer to swap these out for black rims. Looks alot better. Seems the only way you're going to get this is with a camo unit.

 

They are already out there, at some dealers.

I live in East Texas and it is getting very difficult to find any 03's left. I bought my Green/Black 600 on April 4th and have totally fallen in love with this machine. The Green/Black comes with black rims which I live much better than the silver. I just did my first oil change(20hrs) and the oil looked looked brand new! For and ex-Honda guy, I am very impressed with my first Polaris.

 

Im from ontario canada I just got a 2004 600 yellow&black all the 2003 are sold out over here the shop is full of 2004 and by the way I love the 600sp coming from an ex. honda man now im the one pulling the honda's out of the mud.

 

Picked up my 04 400 last monday, got the blue one and this is one great ride!!!!!!
It is finnally getting through the break in period and picking up some power.

I had to look hard to find a 03 400Sp...I really don't like the face lift on the 04..
Besides 03 400sp was $5,100[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

But also here in Wyoming you can get 04 Sp400's for $5,300....OTD with ABS !!
Great dealers around here.
So don't let the dealers jerk you around....they all pay the same freight $$$ and dealer cost is all the same.
