Alot of you fellow Predator owners use or have tried, multiple gearing set-ups, so I'd appreciate your feedback:

1) What gearing combos work with the stock chain size (ie. 14/37, 13/38, 14/38, 14/39)?
2) If you purchased an aftermarket chain, what brand / size (also list your gearing)
3) How does the 13T affect the chain roller noise-problem vs. the stock 14T?

Your info is much appreciated!

 

14/39 fits with stock chain / real nice gearing for trail riding

 

I'm run'n a 14/38 with 18" rear tires and love it. I gated beside a C-Dale MOTO 440 in a MX race last month and we were side by side clear to the first corner. Raptors, EX'S & Z's couldn't even touch us. I'm still run'n the stock chain...its a 520 o-ring chain you can't get any better than that.

 

13/40 will fit if you dremel the chain guide to clear the 40 tooth sprocket.

 

All those combos will work with stock chain. I'm running 13/38, and just tapping rev limiter in 5th at full throttle...perfect setup for tight woods and any other trail riding!!
