Iwas told I could use any syntheitic gear lube for the transmission on my 98 sport. I have pennzoil 100% synthetic marine lower unit gear lube 75-90W api gl-5. Would that work? My nearest polaris dealer is 40 min. away. If not what would? Any help would be great. Thanks!

 

There are others who use the gear oil. I've always stayed with the Polaris synthetic, suggested lube. You can buy it in a gallon jug, and since the trans capacity is around 12 oz, that'll last you a while. Also, try Mobile 1 10w30 for the counterbalancer, a noticeable difference. Thanks, I'll try it. I just pet pennz in the counterbalance, but i'll put mobile 1 in next time. I'll make a trek to the polaris dealer this weekend. Better safe than sorry. Know where I can get a new choke cable cheap?
