hey guys how should i go about breakin it in the dealer said 6 tanks of gas or 20 hours please give me some advice

ha that is very interesting i just dont kno what to do i want the motor to run good and i dont wanna chance it by doin somethin wrong

 

i would run it good to seal the rings.

 

But why woul the bike shops tell us to run them easy!

 

It should explain how to break it in within the owners manual.

 

I've read that entire website. For racing and strickly a rebuilt top engine, it makes some sense. I wonder about the longevity of the engine from a bearing and gear standpoint though.

I broke mine in slow for about 2 hours, and then rode it like I would normally ride it. I've had no problems. Everything I have ever owned i break in slow and easy for a few hours and then ride it like I normally would. I've never had any problems.

 

Never take the advice of a dealer or anyone else.

Like Coyotechaser said: Use your owners manual, it should tell you how to break-in.
