Outlander 400 negatives? You tell me.
#1
I've been looking to buy a 400cc-450cc ATV. I have test driven most of them. As of now my first choice is the Outlander. I know what I like about the machine but I would like to know what you dont like or would change about the machine.
If you own or have driven an outlander 400 tell me what you dont like and why.
Thanks

Fellow Wisconsinite......
I have 2 of the Outlanders and I think they are great. My wife and I did a lot of riding in Black River Falls this past weekend, which was rough... but the Outlanders really made the ride nice. The suspension is great and the control for a Sport Utility is second to none. Speed, power and control is really impressive.
You asked what I would change... so I'll pick a few things.. although they are not big issues that I often think about.
1) The tires, could be better. I am considering investing in a more aggressive solution for this before the snow hits.
2) There is the side to side noise that was a pain until it was fixed. It no longer makes the noise and the solution is to have it fixed at the dealership before you pick it up. There is a lot of info on this problem on this service, with everyone make note of the fact that it isn't a big deal, as long as your dealer understands the greasing that needs to be done and does it correctly... mine did.
That's really all I can say for what I would change. They are just a lot of fun and very functional for the winters that you and I have to deal with. I did my first 3 months of riding in the snow and they hooked up great handled it all very well.
Enjoy,
Kaz

I only have 2 complains with my Outlander; 1, There is too much drivetrain slack. 2, The fenders are to small, there's mud everywhere. Super suspension, excellent power ( 500cc power ), & a front dif that works.
