Default delta II V-Force Reeds & jets

My friend has the same atv as me and is using the boysen reeds. His instructions say to lower the jet by 2-3 and raise the clip 1. I have the v force reeds and my instruc only says; you may have to change the main jet and nothing about raising the clip. My machine runs better than good but I am sure it can run better. Is it common to lower the main jet and raising the clip when adding on after market reeds? I believe stock jet was 210. I am currenty running a 200 in 65 degree weather.

Give it a try ,you may be ok with your jetting the way it is.Just make sure you do some plug checks.Performance wise you may not see much difference but your throttle response will be a bit better.Hope this helps.

I have the Rad Valve and it said you may have to rejet and change clip positions, but in my case I didn't have to. They probably just say that to cover their butt in case someone puts one on and their engine locks up, they can't blame them for it.

Yep, mods and jetting for them always are. The manufacturer of the part can give you a heads up on what to try, but in every situation, it will be different as all motors and environments are not exactly the same.
