Default TB 250 problem

I have a 2003 Trailblazer 250 (bought new in October 2002) with a RCR stage 1 kit. It always has run fine. Now I am having a problem. While riding, it runs great but if it is shut down for a short break it will start but will barely run. It runs as if the choke is on or the air filter is clogged. After it cools down completely it will start and run fine again. I have checked all the vent lines, the filter is clean and the jetting looks good. If this were an older car I would think it was a vapor lock problem. Can this happen on an ATV? It didn’t show up until the temperature changed. Thanks.

It is a jetting or airscrew problem. Who installed the kit. What main jet are you running. If the fuel tank is kinked it could do the same thing. Next time this happens unscrew your cap and see if there is a change. I would almost bet it is the jetting or airscrew.

I normally run a 160 jet at 1200ft. at 6500-7500 I was running a 140 and also tried a 150 to see if that would help. No luck. I have tried taking off the cap but that didn’t help. The fuel line looks good. I have not touched the airscrew. How does that affect the mixture? What would you suggest, turning it in or out? Thanks
