At the Honda dealer where I have been looking, the owner said the 04's will be a couple more weeks. But I could have an 03 in my garage today for $4950 OTD. Honda's website said the 04's are availble in June. So I am asking, should I buy one today, or wait? Has anybody rode a 04? If there is a performance difference with that carb, I will wait. Thanks.

I meant a 400ex. I should have sid that earlier. Anyways the dealer just told me today the 04 don't come out till fall.

 

If you buy a 2003 then you'll get a good price but the smaller carb. There's a chance that they might try to get more out of the 2004's just because of the carb. I just talked to a 3 dealers. One gave me a price of $4650., another $5000. and the third wouldn't give a price over the phone. None of the dealers knew about the larger carb. I think that I would wait and see if Honda does improve the 400EX and hopefully it will sell just as cheap. The one dealer said that there should be something out about a 450 around Sept.
