Not sure about the mileage. One thing that will help conserve fuel is just use enough throttle to keep up on the way to where you are going. After you see approximately how much fuel you have used, you may be able to ride a little more aggressive on the way back! Get a grab bar with a fuel container holder. Do you have a buddy (that's going also)with racks? Take along a chain or rope in case of running out of gas with no additional reserves!

I usually get between 50 and 55 per tank (says my speedometer/odometer) depending on terrain.

EdSmith,

Would that mileage be based on a long ride where you aren't very aggresive and have a destination? I'm planning a trip with some guys that ride 4X4's and was thinking of installing an odometer to figure my range. Your mileage is better than I would have guessed.

Thanks,
Steve

I don't check the forum as often as I should. I got that mileage doing general semi-aggressive trailriding. If you are going to a destination you wouldn't want to cut it too close. If you ran the machine easy, shortshifted and ran on open trails and firroads you could probably get a little better mileage.
