In about a year or so I plan on building a nice 416ex. I was thinking about the Curtis Sparks 416 National,X-6 exhaust,HRC race cam and a FCR 39 Carb. Along with a polish and some porting. Does that sound pretty good? I gonna start saving now because I know it won't be cheap. I wanna hear what you guys have for mods on yours,and how fast it got you going. mine is fast. it is most definatley not the baddest though. I can't tell you speeds but i draged a piped raptor and stayed neck and neck the whole way. whoever got the holeshot won the race. besides my mods in my sig. i had the guy port and polish

 

A guy i ride with had the baddest 416 I ever saw. He had it ported by a guy who does the same for nascar. He told me the CFM or something was a 45% improvement. it was originally ported for his 508cc bottom end and ran for a while till that broke a rod - threw the head on a 416cc and rejetted while the 508 was being rebuilt.

He handed me and my piped/jetted raptor our asses in the drags.. Repeatedly by 4 lengths or so in less than 200 yds.

 

Any other 416's? Any info would help me greatly. Thanks.

 

i run a stage two ds and my buddy runs the same on his raptor and we can flip a coin to see who will win. but we ran into a 415-416 stroked to a 440 and that thing ran with us, we would edge it but it was fast. that is what i'm looking at doing to my sons 400.
