buying a timberwolf or beartracker
#2
It is my understanding that Yamaha produced the Beartracker as a replacement for the underpowered Timberwolf. The solution was to increase the horsepower of the Timberwolf engine by installing a carb with larger intake and lengthing the stroke before giving the model a new name.

Go with the Beartracker over the "slow" + "Powerless" Timberwolf. If it were up to me, and I was looking for a 2 WD Quad in the 250 cc. range, I would trash both of them and go with a Honda Recon.I own one, and had a Beartracker. This quad will and does tear both of the above mentioned a new #*! hole! Jeff B.
