Default The DS650 vs TRX Challenge.

All my fellow riders and I were riding 250Rs. I came to my sences and decided to go with something that was not so outdated. I have been assured by all my fellow riders that I would never be able to touch them on a MX track with my newly aquired DS. Most of my firends 250Rs are just piped with no other modifications. I have added a Wood rev limiter, and Big Gun exhaust along with some gearing changes. What Iam looking for is anyone that is selling either new or used performance suspention parts. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Good luck...

If you are an exceptional rider and your buddies are average riders - and you've got all the right goods you'll still have your work cut out for you.

It can be done though, it'll just be tougher than on an R. Especially if you race for more than a lap or two.

The DS is a great machine, but not a first choice as an MX'er.

The worst time I ever had on my DS was on a MX track.

some of the guys in here seem to do really well on MX tracks. It will be interesting to see what they add. A DS isn't setup for MX from the factory, however anything can be changed.

I have a ton of fun on the track. i really dont mind the extra weight though. I found my stock suspension to be way too soft for mx but now with my Elkas, I can run with a lot of the smaller 250r riders out there.
