anyone ever run a snowmobile motor in a quad? Do they over heat? they always have grass drags, but those a short runs. Any info would be great

 

snomo's are cool, but they arent as fast as you'd think. Problem with running a snomo on alk for example is they are centrifugally driven, meaning you couldnt clean the motor out before dropping the hammer, because the clutch would engage way before the motor was ever cleaned out. On top of that, they are heavy, and you can make just as much WHEEL hp from a twin banshee as a built belt driven snomo.
