New Honda Rancher 350FE

I've had my Honda Rancher 350 FE for four days now. Great fun. Have been riding in 20
degree weather with 8-10 inches of snow. It goes anywhere. Really like the electronic shift. Better my budy's Kawasaki automatic (more positive) because you actually shift through all the gears. I ordered a CycleCountry 1500 winch and 50" snow plow. Unfortunately, the mounting plates have not yet been manufactured. Won't be able to install the plow & winch until the middle of Feb. Too bad, as we just received 4 more inches of the white stuff.

Before you give up check out Dennis Kirk, they either had everything in stock (in regards to the plow), or could get it relatively fast. I don't know about the winch mount, but they should have it.

My dealer looked up Cyclecountry on their computer (they hove a direct connection to various vendors)and they say that the mounting plates (for either the winch and/or the plow) will not be in production until mid February. Evidently, the mount design is currently in the development cycle. If you have news otherwise, let me knows. I would be interested to see if my dealer gets the same information as do others.

I contacted Superwinch and they are not coming out with a mount for some time yet. I don't know where Cycle Country buys from. I also contacted Warn and they have them. Most shops have not stocked them yet. This is the Warn part number for the ATV2000 winch "60794" They don't sell direct but I was able to give the number to Cabelas and they could order it for me.

I also have a new Rancher. I have been plowing for about 3 weeks now. Cycle Country has the mounts for both the plow and the winch. I went with the Superwinch 2000. All works great. My local Honda dealer provided the parts. I was waiting since Nov 7th. I ordered my Rancher with Winch and Plow (Had to justify my new toy somehow). The first Thursday in January is when everything was available.
