Will I beat a stock Raptor?
#1
I have installed the DMC Alien duals on my otherwise stock V Force. I have ordered OEM 138/142 jets. Once I install them, will I be able to take a Stock Raptor in a 600 foot drag?
If not, I will be pissed.

You should beat him the first 300 ft. after that he will pull you, with the dual's you need a different primary clutch spring, to make the V pull on top end more, more rev's to take advantage of the pipe's, EPI has just released a Pink colored spring just for this, I think it's 20 buck's.... give them a call........

In a 600 foot drag, No you will not beat a stock Raptor. You should be able to rocket off of the line if you are dialed in correctly but the Raptor will run you down before the 300ft mark. This has been my experience watching V-forces vs. Raptors. The duel exausts won't give you more top end because the gearing hasn't changed. You need to somehow "regear" your 700 to use the extra HP and torque to pull a taller gearing. People have been experimenting with different spings and weights but I don't think anyone has come up with the best set up yet for all around riding. A set of taller tires will give you more top end with the duels but that might adversely affect the handling

Now your talking, if you can't beat them, well....BEAT them.
Wait for more R&D on the clutch system on the V and we might get some good products out there that will liven up our top end. Or get the ignition, when it comes out, and rev to about 10000 rpm and blow by him at 90 mph...lol.

According to personal experience, in the sand, it should be no contest. You would win. I've never lost to a piped raptor (or stock) on flat sand. Perhaps dirt is different. 600 ft is not a long track, that's like 1/8 mile. You should hold your lead. Good luck.
