Good deal for a Rincon 650?
#1
I'm picking up my new '03 Rincon 650 from the dealer on Saturday morning and was wondering from the Honda guys if I got a decent deal. I'm paying $6,600 out the door (no freight, no assembly and no taxes as I'm out of state). Did I get a decent deal?

I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I know they go for around 7500 MSRP and our place in town sells them for 6995. I talked to another dealer and he was ready to give me a "good deal" and he said 7200. I told him the place in town's price. He said "bull.. no one sells them for less than 7k."
So, I said "I will buy one from you at your invoice price plus $200 right now if I am right. If I am wrong I will buy it from you for 7200, right now."
He shut up real quick.
So, I'd take it... try to get them to throw in a couple free oil filters too. Especially if you didn't work to get them at that price.
Then again, maybe they are getting rid of the 03s for the 04s.. I thought I heard invoice was around 6200 on them... who knows...
When (if) I ever sell my kodiak, I'm walkin in to the honda dealer and offering 6500 right there right now. One of those "who wants to make the easiet 300 bucks on a sale in the world" type things..haha..
I'm rambling. Someone hand me my paxil.

I've been checking on prices for the rancher AT and Rincon as well. I found a site that claims they can give you the info from a dealer invoice for $10.00 so i ordered one of each. they claim the rincon ready to sell cost is $6623. also the dealer gets a 5% (of MSRP) dealer hold back. this is when a dealer is paid in april or october for units they have sold six months previous.
Also RANCHER AT is $5263 ready to sell cost.
Hope this might Help.
