help changing sprokets on my blaster ?

this may seem like a dumb theory but .... if i went up a tooth in the front sproket, and then went up like 2 or 3 teeth in the back sprocket, wouldn't that make it go faster yet keep the same acceleration because i changed the back sproket to make up for the front ? i wanna put a 14 tooth sproket on the front, but i don't want to loose any acceleration at all. so would that idea work? would i have to change the chain for this?

if you added a tooth to the front and dropped 2 or 3 in the rear you would have about the same gearing as you have right now. you won't accelerate faster or have a faster top speed.

unless u do some engine modifications there is no way u can go faster without losing acceleration. I wish there was a way but.....dream on. If u go up teeth in the front and the back, they will cancel eachother out. Why don't u try out a 14 or 15 tooth in the front and leave the rear stock. If its not fast enough then u want to go down teeth in the rear maybe to 39 teeth. If ure acceleration is to slow with the 14 or 15 tooth in the front then try goin up 1 tooth in the rear to a 41. That will eliminate some of the top speed but not all of it. I heard some where that 1 tooth up in front is 7% increase in speed and one tooth up in rear is 3%. I dunno thats what i heard
