Default alcohol on stock carb

Hey guys, I was talking to friend at work who rides a ds and we were talking about running alcohol. I told him I would ask some of the guys on the connection about it. He is using the stock carb and wanted to know if you could convert the stock carb or he had to buy a new one. I did a search and did come up with some info. I saw something about ron woods alcohol jet kit and a article on the conversion. It said to drill the main jet and the slide tube that seems too easy to me. Do you need to vent the tank more or anything like that. He has a real hot spot for this so I said I would get as much info as possible. If there are any alcohol gurus the advise would be appreciated

I would think it would NOT be a good Idea.
FROM WHAT I KNOW, people spend good money having carbs coverted to Alcohol. I know its hard on rubber parts. And there is the rubber fuel stop in side..
I am NOT an expert but its what I have picked up.
