2002 Arctic Cat 300 2x4 or 2002 Honda 350 2x4
#1
I have been looking to buy a previously owned Honda Rancher 350 2x4. Now that I'm ready for the Honda, an aquantance is offering to sell me the Arctic Cat 300 he won in a St. Judes raffle. It's a 2002 model that has only been driven around a little in his yard. He want's $2500.00 for this machine. Would the previously owned Honda with low miles be better than a practically new Arctic Cat 300 at a low price? CajunJim

There is nothing wrong with the arctic cat, it also has some features that the honda doesn't like a supper low, independant rear suspension, and I believe the 300 have a 4x4 to 4x2 lever. Consumer reports also rates the Arctic as the most reliable 4wheeler. I would searioust consider it. The rancher is a great machine too, but if I could get a like new machine verses a used one I would really look at the new one.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have decided on the Arctic Cat 300 and will have it within a week. Since it is a 2x4, I think I may have a winch put on it. Noticed that you have a 1500 lb winch on yours. Any suggestions on what I might put on the AC. de Cajun Jim

For that small of a machine a 1500lb one would be plenty, I think some one makes a 1200lb one also, not sure though. I've had no problems with my superwinch, the warns are definatly better but cost 2x.
