ATV Carb Heater Retrofit? (CVK 32s)
#1
Kawasaki is making a carb-heater retrofit kit for some of its ATVs with CVK 32 carbs (e.g. P/N 99995-1422). This is an electric heater.
Has anybody ever installed one of these?
My bike (EX250-F14) is equipped with 2 CVK30s and I have carb icing problems in the winter (what can I say, I live in Canada). I'm thinking about installing a pair of these kits, but I want to know what's involved.
Does the heater element require a new hole to be tapped in the carb body, or does it stick up through the drain hole?
Alternatively, if anybody knows where I can get CVK 30 bodies in North America with a water jacket for a decent price, that'd be cool. That's what the boys in the UK get in stock trim.
