Just got done fighting that damn blaster worm, took 1 1/2 hrs to get enough time to download the patch, the worm continually shuts down your system without the patch. If you haven't yet go download now!

if you activate the firewall in your network connections it'll give you the time needed to down load the patch.
I quit downloading the updates from windows, everytime I'd update it'd screw up my computer, so I quit doing them.
It finally caught up with me.
I'd like to catch the SOB's that sit around thinking of ways to screw with other people.

 

my msn is being gey, according to it im running behind a fw, and it wants me to run through lan and tries a proxy server before that! WTF

 

Moose where were you when I was pissing and moaning, it only took me an hour to figure out to use the fire wall. Damn computer geeks don't understand that there is some important quad talk going on in here we don't have time for there worms!

 

It already got me. It kept re-booting my puter and I couldn't even login. I lost everything on my harddrive. Im still pissed!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

Sorry Hoss, I was off line, it took 2 days to get through to microsoft to figure out how to fix mine, I just got back on line less than an hour ago.

 

What is this worm thing all about?

 

mine had this "remote procedure call (RPC)" restart windows in 59seconds..before that a tftp2056 file restarting windows in 59seconds....it downloads itself to ur computer...if u dont have a firewall or AV. it will get on and make u really pissed off....

 

I have heard it doesn't effect windows 98, thats what i got and i don't have it.......... yet(fingers crossed) So if you have 98 version don't worry about getting infected!
