McFly,
Don't tell me you an old combase. I used to do alot of programming and kept a dual486 running unix. Don't miss it much. Only good for programming and hacking. Can you say Telnet?

Gee, another virus/worm that exploits MS security flaws. No surprise now that MS has been pushing their "Trustworthy Computing" initiative for a year. Expect these to get more and more serious. Expect that MS will keep blaming others. I've never been happier to be 100% MS free (OSX and YellowDog linux)! viruses? What are they?

McFly has the correct answer to the problem.
MS doesn't list 98 as it is no longer supported (didn't think Me was either).
The Win9x line (Win95(a/b/c), 98 (1st and 2nd ed.), Me (P.O.S. I think it proved Darwin wrong) are not affected as they don't have RPC (Remote Procedure Call).
The NT line (NT 4, NT 4 TS, 2000 Pro/Server, XP (Pro/Home) and 2003 Server) all have RPC facilities and are vulnerable. This vulnerability has been out for a month or so now.
It's amazing how many large corps and gov have this thing ravaging their networks. How the hell did it get INSIDE?
Slightly off topic, but I noticed a couple other *NIX guys (or gals) running around here. How many computer jockeys ride? Quads and Computers don't seem like they would have the same group, but I'm thinking I just might be wrong.
Home: RH9 (x2), RH7.3 (router/firewall/email/web)
Work: RH7.2 and RH9 (servers)
IMHO: Sell SCOX, buy IBM, RHAT
